Job Specification


SCCUL Enterprises CLG., is a registered Charity, part of whose goal is to assist communities to develop leadership and management skills so as to tackle social and economic isolation. We are currently seeking an Accounts Specialist to take charge of our accounts function. Working closing with the CEO, the accounts Specialist will have responsibility for all accounting requirements across the organisation.
The main responsibilities will be as follows :




  • Preparation of monthly reports for management within reporting deadlines for approval by the board
  • Debtors and Creditors control reconciliations to include monitoring of month end ledgers, allocations of creditor and debtor payments and monitoring of aged listings
  • Preparation, verification and processing of customer invoices on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Vendor bills entry on QBKS (Quickbooks) and payment online
  • Reconciling bank and credit card statements
  • Aged Debtors – debt collection, tracking outstanding payments on an ongoing basis
  • Liaising with customer regarding queries and handling them promptly to facilitate payment
  • Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • Engage with auditors and company accountant when required
  • Produce and process all revenue returns, including VAT, PAYE, P30, P35
  • CRO Returns as necessary
  • Supporting grant applications with required financial data
  • Manage the company payroll making all necessary returns to revenue
  • Maintenance of company pension scheme
  • Other duties in line with business needs



What you need:


Education/SkillsDesirable Requirements for this role
  • Accounting degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in handling a wide range of administration tasks with the ability to take responsibility for own workload
  • Proficiency in accounting & payroll
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Solid analytical skills and understanding of financial statements
  • Ability to organise, prioritise, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Good decision makings skills with the ability to analyse and problem solve
  • Comfortable working with a high volume of work, while remaining positive, flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • 4 Years’ Experience
  • Cash Handling
  • Data Protection Certificate
